Parenting Decisions

Reliable ways to make decisions, so you're not constantly revisiting the same disagreements.

They can't agree on issues involving school, activities, healthcare, schedules

Many parents come to me because they can't agree on issues involving school, activities, healthcare, schedules, or other important aspects of their children's lives.

The same problems over and over

When the relationship is running on emotion instead of structure, the same question gets reopened every season. Parents are tired of reacting to each new disagreement. A clear structure gives you a framework you can return to again and again.

Other important aspects of their children's lives

  1. School

    Enrollment, meetings, support.
  2. Activities

    Sign-ups, costs, who drives.
  3. Healthcare

    Appointments and information sharing.
  4. Schedules

    Changes and the unexpected.

Reliable ways to make decisions

I work with parents to create practical systems, clear boundaries, thoughtful parenting plans, and reliable ways to make decisions. Successful co-parenting works more like a business partnership than a personal relationship. It requires clear goals, defined communication methods, and consistent boundaries.

Shared goals: what you want for your child

Your Co-Parenting Commitment names WHY: what you both want for your child.

The child, the plan, the next step.

Make decisions that align with your values, not your emotions. Children need adults to make adult decisions.

Instead of asking who is right, ask what your child needs from you now.

FAQ

How long does it take to build a structure?

We work on decision-making inside the eight-session program, alongside communication and boundaries.

Should our child help decide?

Offer choices that don't involve loyalty, like which backpack to bring. Keep adult schedule decisions between adults.

What if one of us won't follow the agreement?

Keep messages brief, child-focused, and time-bound, and follow your documented plan when possible.

Do you make the decision for us?

No. Coparent coaching is not mediation or legal advice. I help you build the structure to decide.

Can we put decision rules in writing?

Yes. If appropriate, we co-create a written parenting agreement. It gives you a framework you can return to again and again.
